I often like to browse the forums to see what people are saying about. I noticed tons of complaints about how hard it is to make money or talks about the lifestyle. One of the things I constantly see from new, and even some experienced traders, is they think the only way to make money is to constantly sit in front of their screen and look for setups. When you do that, not only are your eyes going to start hurting, but you open yourself up to over-trading, which will always hurt your results. The biggest pro of trading in my opinion, is the freedom and time it affords you, in order to get more from your trading, you should make your trading as systematic as possible. If possible, automate your system as much as you can, create alerts for potential setups etc that way you can always logon to your computer remotely, if its good take it, if not ignore it. Not only will that allow you to get away from your computer, it will allow you to have other hobbies, The best trading happens when you are stable emotionally, and healthy physically, to ensure you get the most from your trading, you have to take care of yourself, if you are angry and depressed and tired, that will show in your trading, if you are rested, happy, and focused, that again will reflect in your trading. You don’t need to be in front of your computer constantly taking 1 million setups to do great trading, even 1 good trade a day is more than enough to get great returns. When it comes to trading, less is often more, the days I perform the best are the ones where I go out, enjoy the sun, do my daily habits and routine, come back, set up my charts then I wait for the market to give me a trade. I don’t sit in front of my computer, I just check back every hair to look over the charts, quickly, if I get a trade great, if not there is always tomorrow. This lets me stay refreshed and see the market for what it really is. Sometimes I get 10 trades, sometimes I get none, but I know because of this method I will only ever take things that give me the best opportunity to make money. When it comes to trading, make sure you take breaks, and make sure you don’t over-trade and start imagining things, the goal of trading is to have freedom to enjoy life, not switch to another job you are in front of a desk hours a day. If any of you have any other ways you try to get more out of your trading please tell me below in the comments, and have a great day!
